Fillings
A filling is a type of restorative dental treatment used to repair minimal tooth fractures, tooth decay or otherwise damaged surfaces of the teeth. Dental filling materials, including composite, porcelain and silver amalgam, may be used to even out tooth surfaces for better biting or chewing.
Enamel loss is a common factor of tooth decay, and can result in tooth sensitivity. Often, tooth sensitivity from enamel loss will be significantly improved or completely eliminated with a proper dental filling placement.
Many times a tooth will not cause pain or discomfort until there is significant loss of tooth structure. Undergoing routine dental exams and x-rays can help detect problems before you experience a toothache. We offer "teeth colored" composite fillings or traditional silver fillings to repair areas of your teeth that have been damaged by tooth decay or slight wear.
