Sapphire Whitening is a procedure that occurs in the office by your cosmetic dentist. There is a gel, which has the active and standard ingredient of Hydrogen Peroxide. During the process the Hydrogen Peroxide oxidizes in the gel oxidizes by the infrared light and the enamel and dentin are bleached without hurting your teeth. The light helps to penetrate stains and discoloration and helps to break them down. The Sapphire Whitening procedure on average can change your teeth by up to eight shades.
At most offices, you can simply relax during your procedure while listening to music or watching TV. The results of your Sapphire whitening session are that your teeth will always be whiter than before but to make sure you maintain your new white smile, you should make sure to have proper dental care, cleanings, floss and brush daily and use touch-up whitening gel to keep your smile bright! It’s also important not to drink anything that will stain your teeth for up to 24 hours after you use your at-home whitening gel.
Some clients experience sensitivity but typically it fades quickly. Sapphire Whitening is a safe and effective way to have a long lasting brighter smile!
